Training Dates and Times:
November 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 9th, and 10th, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The training will be held online via Zoom.
Details:
This 40-hour training is an Oregon Health Authority (OHA) approved PSS training for Adults in Mental Health. It was developed and is facilitated by Fumiyo Nishimoto, MSW, LCSW, and her team at Cultivating a New Life LLC. Peers who complete the training can apply to become OHA Traditional Health Workers (THW) as Peer Support Specialists for Adult Mental Health. Thanks to funding from OHA, this training is offered at no cost and is open to Veterans and active/past Military Service Members who live, work, or volunteer in the state of Oregon.
Eligibility Requirements
You identify as person who is a current or former consumer of mental health services.
You are a Veteran or active/past Military Service Member.
You are at least 18 years of age. You live, work, or volunteer in Oregon.
You are not listed on the Medicare provider exclusion list.
You are able to attend the entirety of the training, which will take place online via Zoom.
Applications will be accepted through Sunday, September 15th. Applicants will be notified of decisions for the training via email during the week of September 30th.
